I've only just applied it so I don't know for sure how it will stand up to wet weather (and window cleaners) but it sticks quite well and I have every confidence that it will be fine. This lead strip was to replace a short length of about 10cm (4") that had been partially removed when the windows were cleaned.

Although longer than required it's not expensive and I've got plenty to use for when it's needed again. I bought gorilla glue for plastic to apply it over my privacy film. I might even try removing the previously damaged sections and replace them with this new strip.
