We follow the girls through their lives from going on their first holiday abroad to their early 50s. Yes there were traumas but there was also a lot of celebration and love – ups and downs. To sum up this book I would say BRILLIANT , BRILLIANT , BRILLIANT .

It was great to read and it felt like a lifetime was captured in just a few pages. I did need my tissues at one point and it proved to me just how connected I was with the characters that allowed me to feel such strong emotions. This is such a brilliant book – great amounts of humour (especially Welsh humour!

😂 I’m a big Ruth fan if you can’t tell. US THREE is a true testament to female friendship, and all the complexities and emotions that comes with it. They say your old friends are the ones who know you the best and this book reaffirms this, Catrin, Lana and Judith have been best friends since primary school and they have experienced many things together.

🥰 She really gets to the core of her characters. Heart warming and gripping - I could not put it down. Everything you would expect from Ruth Jones.

Ruth Jones really knows how to capture your heart, make you laugh out loud, but also make you ugly cry. The story is told a chapter at a time through each of the friends perspectives and occasionally from some of the men involved. A friendship triangle can usually be difficult with one friend feeling left out and I loved how this was explored in the story. Each girl has their own distinct personality and life experiences.

I’ve never read any Ruth Jones books before but her gift of portraying everyday people and life means I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her writing. I was very excited when my request to read US THREE by Ruth Jones was granted on Netgalley. I can’t believe how quickly I read the book, it was incredible.
