Lesson learned: don’t mix shrink wrap with an office chair…Overall, I loved this fun horror read because of how imaginative, witty, and captivating it was. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱. It was spooky and funny, everything a decent horror is supposed to be. I feel like I can’t say it enough, but I thoroughly enjoyed Horrorstör and highly recommend it.

"-The plot is fast-paced and action-packed, and I could absolutely see this working well as a TV/movie adaptation. Horrorstör is no exception. -I recommend Horrorstör to fans of action packed horror thrillers, and will definitely be reading more by Grady Hendrix. It looks so much like a catalogue that my husband thought it was and was confused about what I was reading!

Reading 𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗧Ö𝗥 was my introduction to Grady Hendrix, though I've seen his other books doing the rounds on bookstagram, and I do definitely want to read more from him. There are some fairly sinister and gruesome moments - I actively recoiled when Amy's fingernail peeled off 'like a wet stamp' - but it wasn't too scary a read.

Wow. From the absolutely atrocious customers to the sense that loyalty means taking one for the team (only for the good of the company), to the disconnect between corporate ideals and the reality of the sales floor…you’ll have disturbing flashbacks of your worst retail employee experiences.
