When I placed my curtain, I left a bit too much of a gap at the bottom (hence why I recommend having someone else assist) but, large gap or not, I still HIGHLY recommend getting a draft stopper for your door, as there's only so much a curtain can do. So far, however, it's kept it almost all out.

It keeps the cold out keeps your heat in! This very old sliding door is extremely drafty and I was trying to figure out how to fix that! They are hard to put up alone so I recommend nit doing that. It goes without saying, but if you're placing this over a door (as I did), you want the curtain to measure larger than the door; in other words, before buying this, measure the FRAME of your door, not the door itself, as that is where you will me placing the curtain).

Should keep some of the winter/summer temperatures out of the laundry room. For doggie lovers…. It's been >0°F and I've been fine. I didn’t tip just came apart.

If you want to go even further, you might want to consider an air purifier and some Ozium spray, for when the smoke/odor sneaks into a room upon passing through the curtain. Fit great!
