This is just an umbrella that looks like a sword. It *seems* sturdy, but I suppose time will tell.

and living in Seattle, I'm sure gonna put it to good use. I've only had it for a few days, but I've already gotten compliments on it (and the occasional weird look). "is what comes to mind when I unsheathe my umbrella.

Anywho. But from the rear view , it just looks like a brolly with a cool handle. You might feel wary while walking around carrying it on your shoulder while it is in its case, so it was easy to make a strap from an old laptap bag and use two small luggage label straps for each end of it, thus ditching the case and making the brolly more visible. Perhaps a bunch of pennies, idk. Let's face it - if you wanted to carry a sword stick type weapon , you would buy one totally disguised as an umbrella. One thing that I have noticed is that the balance of the umbrella makes it go to the side a bit, so I sometimes bump when going through doors and stuff. Very sturdy compared to other ones of the same idea, as there are indentical looking umbrellas with much poorer construction.

I haven't had any bad experiences so far with it. Practise will easily find the best position for balance and carrying. "FEAR ME, O WEATHER FIENDS, FOR I WIELD THE BANE OF THINE EXISTENCE! It doesn't look "unswordy" to wear it that way, so I don't really mind, but I'm thinking about putting something heavy on the bottom of the sheath so as to counter the weight of the handle.
