The way it glides and peels away the rough exterior, revealing a smooth yet firm centerpiece is something to behold. May last oxo peeler lasted 20 years, £9 for peeler may sound a lot of money but they are well made and solid and worth the money in mu opinion.

I have peeled apples too and for bits that need a bit more effort, you just apply a little more pressure, so much easier and better than others I have had. It's almost like it was made to fit into the hand of any potato/yam lover. These are great to use, comfortable and efficient, and with one really crappy design feature.
