This is an outstanding hard bound copy of Tolkien’s tale. Hard back copy of The Hobbit, pale green fabric cover with gold lettering, llustrated by Jemima Catlin (including a gorgeous illustration on the cover).

That said, I would rate this edition an overall five star with impeccable binding and print quality. Can not wait to start reading to our daughter when she is a little older.

😍😍😍 (I have not been paid to write this I just really love The Hobbit and really love this copy and the reviews don't do it justice it's such brilliant value for money). Why go for this particular edition when the version illustrated by Alan Lee(Houghton Mifflin Harcourt; 114th edition) is the Holy grail against which any illustrated edition of 'The Hobbit' will always be weighed?

This is one of our favourite childhood tales (mine & hubby) so this is the perfect addition to share. Great condition as expected. As for the subject matter, I do not think my two cents will add or take away anything from the consensus on the greatness of Tolkien's literary megaliths. This brings us directly to the important question.

Literally been buzzing for this to arrive all day and it’s better than expected! I have not seen this edition before and it exceeds expextations. All in all, a great and highly recommendable gift.

Beautiful book with lovely cover and inside illustrations but marked with ink on the front. , the troll encounter episode, Bilbo's meeting with Gollum in the Misty Mountains and Smaug with his treasure horde in Lonely Mountain. It is also meant to inspire her to read more books of Tolkien’s work. Stunning material, quality of illustration and oh so nostalgic!

The current stock images + 'LOOK INSIDE' facility above give an idea of the content. We’re not disappointed with our choice. ) Very much appreciated. I was nearly put off by one of the other reviews which said the item was not as described but that has not been my experience.
