I have a workaround but kind of a missed opportunity when the rest of the unit is great. The threaded adapters included in the packing list allow all sorts of functions. The movement feels smooth and is adjustable.

Only thing is, it can block access to the keyboard a little but I can get my hands under it to type so I can usually find a comfortable position to use the mouse and keyboard. I can swing it over to the right side and do zoom calls on the work computer or back over to the middle for streaming with my main camera and computer. I ended up messaging someone in Tech support several times to get all measurements to ensure this would fit on my VariDesk.

It also can be a little low, I want it so it can go over my arm up to my mouth so I had to raise it up as high as it can go and I still sometimes hit it when placing my hand underneath it. This is an excellent product that completely satisfies my needs. It didn't quite fit my needs and I decided to go with the typical vertical actuating boom arm style so I returned it.

It is completely functional and flawless. This arm can’t be raised btw I just want people to be aware but it’s very heavy duty and work really well and I haven’t run into any issue yet I would mount it differently but then it wouldn't quite reach.
