There is a lot of reading so this is not a book to finish overnight. It begins in the 1850`s right up to present day, I am really enjoying reading about the culture and changing times, Bud-ism, spiritualism, gangs, families and much to much to be able to list it all. My interest began when my son married a Japanese girl and since visiting several times I just want to learn more. This is a fascinating factual book.
The Japanese and their history is fascinating and the country is becoming more and more popular as is its history. I have been given a pre- sale proof copy to review so I cannot comment on the finished look of the completed book, I have a paper-back with intermittent black and white sketch type pictures, the finished copy when on sale is a hard -backed book and hopefully for the price coloured pictures.
