I give it a 4* due to the bottle being a lot smaller than original and its a lot more expensive, but I suppose when you take into account I don't have to buy a separate anti-dandruff shampoo its not bad value. Had used the standard version of this shampoo for a while, but recently my scalp has been itchy and I seen this when I went to order the normal Alpecin shampoo. Withe respects to hair growth, I am in my late 30s and have been using it every week twice for 8 months and I can definitely feel my hair growth a bit thicker. I have been purchasing Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo 250 ml size for a while now, and found it cheaper here on Amazonthan buying it in my local pharmacy, so I thought it time to sing its praises.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the reviews for Alpecin are being lumped together under the one heading for AlpecinDouble Effect, which I have not tried. Definitely helps with dandruffNeg:It could dry out the hair if large amounts are used. Soft hair after use.

One interesting point of information that is printed on the bottle is that for Competing Athletes," Alpecin Caffeine can bedetected in the hair follicles"! I have short hair and find that using it every other day it gives a slight thickening to my thinning hair.

The itchiness improved significantly after using it. Positive:. It has a nice smell,.
I do as the instructions on the bottle suggest and leave it on my hair for the requiredtwo minutes, and feel good after using it. As an older male, I find that it keeps mygrey hair in good condition, it certainly helps with itchy scalp which can be caused by age related skin conditions ormedications, and keeps me free from dandruff. After using it twice a week, not every day I noticed a big difference the itching had gone away and a lot less dandruff also.
. It would make more sense if they were listed separately thus allowing prospectivecustomers some idea of the different varieties of the product.
