The MZ1's unique shape has been known since the release of the wired version, but this wireless version (like all his Xtrfy mice these days) comes with a replaceable backshell. If you're a fan of his RGB lighting, there are others out there that perform better. If you like what you're reading and seeing about shapes, there's nothing stopping you from trying these out.

I don't mind the retro vibe, but the MZ1 Wireless looks just as goofy as its wired predecessor. If you're just talking about the context of esports performance, RGB makes absolutely no sense. It's no surprise that the MZ1 Wireless is a bit heavier than its predecessor, as wireless requires a battery.
The MZ1 Wireless is a very unique mouse with a very unique shape that includes a more neutral back shell, making it more accessible. I love this, everything you need for years of continued use is included in this box. Xtrfy is a big league player when it comes to packaging.
Now let's move on to something more important: shape. I find this a little disappointing. The whole community seems to be moving far beyond the mouse cheese grater design, and although I personally don't mind the holes (I prefer a solid shell these days, I'd rather have the holes No problem with the mouse), but if you don't like the feel of holes under your fingers, I have to say that this mouse looks (and feels) much better with a solid shell).
In case you didn't know, the look of a gaming mouse doesn't affect my opinion of a product, but since this is the first impressions section, I can say that the MZ1 definitely could use an overhaul. Aside from the interchangeable cases, you won't immediately notice any changes between this wireless and wired version. We'll talk more about these grenades later in the review, but this is definitely good news for those who suffered from the rather high hump of the original his MZ1.
