There is a lot of space inside the cargo bay though. Not cheaply made at all. The payload bay has a boom that attaches to either the astronaut’s harness or the laser cannon. Press the other button and blue lights illuminate the thrusters.

She is getting the rocket set to go with it this weekend from her Grandma and I am sure she will flip. We decided to get this space shuttle after seeing how much our 4-year-old grandson enjoys playing with PLAYMOBIL Space Rocket with Launch Site Building Kit . This kit attaches to that one. Plastic is high quality.

Our grandson has no problems lowering the landing gear or opening the cockpit canopy or payload bay doors. I bought this for my 3 year old daughter.

Very solid toy. Comes with 2 astronauts. One astronaut sits in the cockpit while the other has a seat in the payload bay.

I removed the little astronauts and my 7 month old was able to have some fun too! Some lights and sounds (not to loud)! She is very into space and loves this Shuttle. Assembly is not difficult, but quite a bit of force is required to attach the folding landing gear to the underside of the craft.

We have it for a while now and It’s still the go to toy ! Press one button and a light comes on in the payload bay. The laser cannon does not actually shoot any projectiles.

Working engine lights are mesmerizing and cargo bay door opens and you can switch the light inside too. The space shuttle requires 3 AAA batteries. It has no sound but it's not disappointing at all.
