Indoor Sowing

- Harvest cucamelons when they are the size of a grape or small cucumber, about 1-2 inches long.
- Sow seeds outdoors after the last frost date, when soil has warmed to at least 60°F.
- Plant seeds 1 inch deep and 6 inches apart.

It was my first time growing cucamelons from seed and was worried as had never bought from this company before. Germinated well, slugs love the baby plants. They do taste quite different from what you'd expect. I'll try sewing more next year and support them earlier in their growth spree.

They are also known as a Mexican sour gherkin. Planted 30 seeds in total and 27 germinated. They grow quite tall too and require support.

I would definitely buy again. I'll definitely buy these seeds off this supplier again. Received the seeds next day like stated, no sowing instructions on packet, just a plain foil packet with name, packed, sow by, batch number, and approx number of seeds but to be fair, seeds are seeds, 99% of them germinate in the same way! These are cute little things but take a while to grow.

The girls love them and they are a novelty. As with most cucamelon seeds the germination rates aren't great.

Once past the vulnerable stage they grow rather rapidly. They are great in salads or gin!
