These battery straps have two leads, a red "positive" wire and a black "negative" wire. This heavy duty PP3 battery clip lead has a hard case making it extremely durable. For larger numbers of wires, a bit of solder added to this joint is a good idea. Termination is via two colour coded (red/black) insulated flexible multicore wires of approximately 150mm (6”) in length, with 6mm long tinned ends for quick soldering. Protect this connection with some tape or shrink tube. In our tests with a 9V Duracell, 3 LEDs flashed nice and bright for 36 hours before draining the battery enough to get dimmer. All you need to do is twist all of the red wires from the LED kit together with the red wire from the battery strap. It also features pre-tinned colour coded 150mm flying leads, making for easy integration into your projects. Each of our pre-wired LEDs also comes with a red positive wire and a black negative wire.
