Reviews

Burgundy W.

Nedra Tawwab takes you through boundaries in every way: different types of boundaries, boundary violations, communicating and upholding boundaries, places in life you need boundaries, and much more. helpful and reassuring - a must read, especially for anyone struggling with inability to say no, or who has grown up in an unhealthy home and is now in need of supportive guidance in managing relationships.

Similar to many of the timeless books that have shaped and changed our lives, this is one that I see as a staple on shelves in every home globally. We are accountable for some ,responsible for others.

Jolene G

The author does use some weak examples (like Instagram polls instead of actual studies) that support her information, but nothing so drastic that I questioned the qualifications she had. This is a practical guide to boundaries - what they are, how to set them, and how to navigate them. I saw myself, my family, and my relationships in so many of the stories that she shared. If you are considering picking this book up, dont second guess it.

This is a reference book that you can return to again and again to remind you what to do to find true mental and emotional peace. I think the best thing an author can do is write things out so you don’t have to do mental gymnastics to understand! Again, this book is not made for people who are coming from extremely traumatic situations, or have never been allowed autonomy. That being said, I don’t think this book deserves any bad reviews for not being as in depth as the readers were hoping.

• Overly entangling yourself in other peoples problems is not an indicator of how much you love them. . The media could not be loaded. She also asks several sets of questions throughout the book to make you reflect on the topic at hand, and provides lists that serve as relevant examples of the point being made.

Shariyka Romero

I’ll start with the good stuff! Then I read Nedra’s book. This book is perfect to meet the moment in terms of the mental health needs that are at the forefront of our healing and recovery from the dual pandemics of COVID 19 and systematic racism.
