I did feel a slight amount of heat from it as it cooked, but nothing like using my stove would have created. It was super easy to use and cleanup was a breeze, so that makes it perfect. It's also easy to clean after use and I put it straight into the dishwasher.

Nothing on the outside of the fryer was hot to the touch to operate or open. Not only making frying food, it can also bake cakes and egg tarts.
