The experience itself is really quite pleasant. It also comes bundled with two AAA batteries, which is nice. After a couple of hours of use (it was that comfy! However, I didn't find it overly rough (as some other reviewers have been implying), but instead quite gentle.

) I noticed my neck feeling a bit better, with some soreness and twinges gone - though after only one use it's hard to know whether that's a placebo effect or not! The u-shaped massager itself is surprisingly compressible, which is a really great positive if you're taking it travelling. However, upon careful inspection this is revealed to unzip - it's a travelling bag!

In order to get the most out of it, I ended up lying down, though, and I noticed that the whole sofa was vibrating with me! I've never used a neck massager before, so I have nothing to compare it to. The Medisana neck massager initially appears to be a bag-like pillow.
