It is designed to give the illusion that it is flying (using the invisible Aramid thread and two balls of putty that are strategically attached). There are eight putty/invisible string sets, and four of the sets are comprised of three fibers strands (stronger but easier to see), and four of the sets are two fiber strands (more invisible, for advanced users after practice).

The box is beautiful and well protected, with a separate brown cardboard box that fits exactly around the product box as well, making for a nicely presented gift. Included in the box are the snitch, two 1.

Wow! The Aramid thread is supposed to be very strong and relatively invisible. The Harry Potter Mystery Flying Snitch is an official Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts product, authorized and licensed by Warner Brothers.

5 V LR44 batteries, a plastic display pedestal, a small poster detailing the game of Quidditch, instructions, eight sets of putty/thread, and two extra wings. I am still not expert enough to make the snitch look like it is flying on its own, but hopefully I will get there.

Uses an ‘Aramid’ thread (it’s almost invisible! This allows you to set up the snitch to make a Harry Potter costume or display to simulate the snitch flying. The little snitch has wings that flap when you press a button and the threads used to attach the snitch are very fine and delicate, yet remarkably strong.
