Operation Moonlight is such an easy read even though it’s packed with historical facts, Louise Morrish really does know how to write a compelling read and keeps the reader engaged the whole way through. That it passed below my radar and hasn’t been talked about on Twitter etc is a travesty, I urge my fellow readers to go out and buy a copy now, you won’t be disappointed. Operation Moonlight was a real joy to read from start to finish.

100 year old Betty and her loving carer Tali, occupy one narrative thread, while 24 year old Elisabeth occupies the other. Louise Morrish is a very talented writer and has obviously researched the SOE agents' part in the war meticulously. However, as we discover more about Tali and her life and watch the beautiful relationship between Tali and Betty, I wanted to know what happened in both times equally. The level of detail shows the phenomenal research and love that Louise has put into telling the stories of these brave women, stories that may otherwise fly under the radar (pun intended)
