My chair has wheels and is placed on a chair mat, nor does it move, but people of varying weights might have different experiences. I contacted the company they said they couldn’t refund me the money as it was purchased. They provided a pre paid label to send it back. I'm 67 and got this unit to keep the blood flowing in my lower extremities.

If you want there is an app to log your workouts. During a thirty minute period I had to stop and put it back 6 times. Glad they stand behind their product.

The cost is too much for the product to fall apart within 6 months. But who wants to sweat at their desk! The pedals are wide and have a velcro strap to keep your foot in place, I wear slippers to use mine as the pedals have ridges on them and bare feet would be uncomfortable. It was too late to return to Amazon for a refund.

And two, the machine slides like crazy on my linoleum floor. It fits well under my desk and my knees don't hit anything.

After 5 minutes I started feeling the effects and I ended up dropping down to around level 5. The bottom of the machine is not completely flush to the floor so the minute I get any good momentum it comes off. I am using 0 resistance for 4 minutes twice a day and after a week can feel a difference.

Very happy with my purchase. The only two issues are: the little wheel anchor it came with that's supposed to attach to the front is useless. Update : Based on the first two days of data from my fitbit, this is actually giving me a more intense cardio workout than my old stationary bike.
