I installed it on top of existing module so now I have 10GB of memory (1x2GB and 1x8GB) Apple recommends not to mix different modules but I can tell you my mac mini runs perfectly with them. Confirmed ram module works, with Toshiba Tecra a40-c-1df. Brought this for my acer aspire r 3 series laptop (model N151WS and for perfectly! However after ten weeks of daily use, one of the modules developed a fault.

So far so good. I am very, very pleased with this product - replacing 2 x 4 Gb modules with these 8 Gb modules. My system recognised the RAM with no problems at all, I plugged it in and turned on the laptop and that was it.

The replacement is working fine (after one day) so I'm hoping that the failed module was just a rare bad specimen. Fitting the two 8GB modules was very easy via a hatch in the base of the laptop, and there was an immediate improvement in general snappiness. Was easy to install following my laptops ram removal/replacement section in the manual. I purchased two of these RAM sticks from Amazon Warehouse for my HP Elitebook 840 G1.

Laptops faster now. Luckily I'd saved all open files before Sleep mode so I avoided any data loss and I've learned a bit, but system crashes are not pleasant!
