I love all books by Jon Klassen! This really is a great book and one I'd recommend. (And so does my cat apparently 😂)This book is especially wonderful because it feels like 5 books in one!

'The Rock from the Sky' is an A4 sized hardback book filled with lots of thick matt pages of illustrations and text. All five stories, including the last one which ends in a brilliant but unexpected way are very funny and I couldn't help but want to look back at this book again and again, for both the story and the illustrations.

The book is filled with five stories, each following on from another and featuring the same characters and the same situation regarding the rock from the sky, but each story is a separate one and is like a picture book in itself, so you are getting a bargain with this book! I also love how the characters look. There are some really funny moments, I especially love it when Turtle gets constantly annoyed at, and generally becomes annoying to the others although he's ultimately a very funny character.

I'm an elementary teacher and Jon Klassen books are my most recent favorite additions to my personal library. The illustrations themselves making the story perfect, especially in the first story and afterwards towards the end. I think because this features five stories in one, it not only makes it good value to buy but it's made me love the characters more as we spend more time with them than the characters of Klassen's other book series.

Turtle likes to stand in one spot, it's his favourite place to be, but when Armadillo comes along he doesn't have a good feeling about where Turtle is standing and he thinks he should go stand somewhere else. The "timing" of Klasson's dry humor adds a tension and anticipation to his stories that make them unique and fun to read over and over again. -Thanks to Walker Books for a free copy for review.

I just love Klassen's illustration style which is always so simple and yet so perfect. Each story can be read separately or the whole book can be devoured in one sitting, but it's definitely one that is so funny and clever, and I'm sure many children (and adults) will just love reading this! I just love the expressions that the characters always have, those eyes make for perfect comedic moments and timings and I also love the fact that all three characters have hats which is a great nod to Klassen's Hat series of books!

Ther are some great images and I just love how some pages are filled with just illustrations and no text. The illustrations are pivitol to the stories, they just make the whole book so brilliant and I just love looking back at this book all the time, just to look at the pictures!
